System thinking instead of part swapping.

A component rarely fails on its own. Tolerance chain, oil circuit, temperature window and wear pattern belong together. Development happens where the cause sits, not on the symptom.

  1. 01

    Cause first, then the product.

Recurring failure patterns are investigated until the cause is established. The product is the answer to that, not the quicker replacement.

  2. 02

Our own test rigs, our own software.

Test procedures run on test hardware and software from our own development. Both exist because off-the-shelf solutions don't ask the decisive questions.

  3. 03

    Geometry as a data asset.

Components are 3D-scanned and reconstructed as CAD models. Every change is measurable, every production run reproducible.

Field 01 · Oil pump drive

Reinforced engine components

An OEM part is designed for the production run, not for reserve. We reinforce the points where engines recurringly take damage. The best-known example is the reinforced drive pin for the oil pump drive: developed because the OEM part wears out, engineered for continuous duty.

Field 02 · Conversion kits

Conversion solutions

When an assembly is problematic by design, we don't replace the part, we replace the concept. Conversion kits, for example, replace the balancer shaft module in the 2.0 TDI with a more robust design. Engineered for a precise fit, with documented installation instructions.

Oil system improvement

Oil pressure and lubrication determine an engine's service life. Oil pumps and drive systems from our development have been increasing wear protection in thousands of applications for over ten years. Oil mist separators measurably reduce oil consumption.

What customers tell us.

Unedited, verbatim wording from reviews, with name and item number. The typos belong to the customers too.

„Had the conversion done at my trusted garage (new territory for them too), but they were sold on your concept right away. Install went great with the instructions too, they said. And I have to say it pulls a little better now, and a bigger oil reserve can't hurt either. Anyway, big THANKS!“

„Hello MM-HP team, this weekend I installed the reinforced oil pump drive pin in a Seat Alhambra 2.0 TDI BRT. I had already replaced the old drive pin about 2.5 years and 35,000 km ago. The second drive pin was already badly worn again and close to seizing up. This one is really a very good product and was easy to install. Thanks again for your work and this great product. Hope it lasts longer now.“

Oil pressure & measurement methodology

Measuring points · Temperature window · Reference values

What an oil pressure value tells you depends on where and how it's measured. We document measuring points and boundary conditions so diagnoses become reproducible.

Overview of compatibility and engine codes

Compatibility & engine codes

OE numbers · Revisions · Application lists

Same engine, different revision: engine codes and OE numbers determine fitment. Compatibility lists are in the product descriptions in the shop.

Questions & Answers

Answers to technical questions.

Does the item fit my vehicle or my engine?

What matters is comparing the OE number, i.e. the vehicle manufacturer's part number. Since manufacturers change components over the course of production, our product descriptions often list several matching OE numbers.

Please compare the numbers before purchasing. Support works with the same data that's in the product description.

What does an upgrade oil pump do?

It improves lubrication and reduces wear at the bearing points. Upgrade oil pumps are developed and tested for high loads and performance increases.

How long does shipping take?

The delivery calendar in the shop calculates your specific delivery date depending on your country. Payments received by 1:30 PM are generally shipped the same business day.

When will an item be back in stock?

An exact forecast isn't possible. You can enter your email address on the item you want and you'll automatically receive a message as soon as it's available again.

How do I get my installation instructions (eGuide)?

After purchase, you'll receive access credentials by email at the address provided at checkout. If the email is missing, first check your spam folder or use the „Forgot password“ function on the login page.
